Methodology of gemiusAccessibility

During the study, analysts select comparably-sized graphical elements from your web site which are then displayed to a randomly-selected sample of the Internet users (these users do not see links to these graphical elements).

Each graphical element is displayed:

  • At various times of day and days of week,
  • To Internet users using different Internet connections & browsers,
  • To geographically distributed Internet users

The time of downloading or the error occurence when downloading is registered for each element.

The massive sample size gained from this method works to make analysis of averaged data credible and statistically valid. The study can be conducted in two different versions:

  • Constant Monitoring - monitoring is constant to a set sample size and the results are reported through an online web-based interface and in the form of monthly or quarterly reports
  • Spot-Check Monitoring - monitoring is done in a set period of time on a set sample size of Internet users with the possibility to repeat the study at future intervals (e.g. study lasting 7 days and repeated monthly or quarterly)

Constant monitoring or cyclical gemiusAccessibility studies help to provide a constant monitoring of quality provided to you by your ISPs or web site hosts.

gemiusAccessibility Security

The study is conducted with the use of the cookie technology, thus only data which the user's Internet browser makes available are "visible" (e.g. IP address, screen resolution, operating system, etc.). Internet users who take part in the research remain anonymous throughout the research and no personally-identifiable information is gathered.
